The 2009 Mark Twain Award will be presented to Scott Russell Sanders, Distinguished Professor of English at Indiana University, winner of the 1995 Lannan Literary Award, and author of The Paradise of Bombs, Writing From the Center, and A Private History of Awe, among many others.

The 2009 MidAmerica Award will be given to Loren Logsdon, emeritus of Eureka College and founding editor of Eureka Studies in Teaching Short Fiction.
