2007 Call for Papers, Readings and Films

The Society for the Study of Midwestern Literature invites you to participate in its 37th Annual Symposium:

Writing the Midwest:
A Symposium of Scholars, Poets, Writers, and Filmmakers

The event will be held on the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing, MI, May 10-12, 2007. The SSML annual symposium brings together writers, scholars, and filmmakers to present Midwestern literature: criticism, poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, films (and discussions of those films). We welcome proposals for individual papers, panels, roundtables, and reading of creative work (poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction).
